How to get rid of bad back pain?
Grace Lofgren asked:
I’ve been having minor back pain since late June, but since last week, it’s become extremely unpleasant and barely bearable. I’ve tried baths, ice packs, heat pads, and medication, but nothing’s working. What can I do to fix it?

See a physician to find the origin of your back pain or if you’ve had an injury. Keep track of where the pain is and when it most often occurs.
Lie on your back on the floor, taking the pressure off of your back by propping your knees up on pillow or a chair. Rest in this position for no more than two days to avoid muscles from weakening.
Stretch your back regularly to mobilize and strengthen the spine and all its soft tissues. Move into the stretches slowly without any bouncing. Hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds. Do specific floor exercises to strengthen your back muscles.
Use a heating pad for 20 to 30 minutes to relax muscles. Substitute heat with ice packs and massages for the same relief. Take over the counter pain relievers, such as naproxen, to help with swelling.
Relieve stress, anxiety and depression that can cause muscles to contract and tension to build. Practice relaxation techniques or exercise often. Improve your posture while sitting at your desk and walking.

I had the same problem, however the pain got so unbearable I went to go see a physio therapist.
I found out I actually have a lot of back problems, including scoliosis and my right side of my back being lower then my left side, and quite a lot more!
It made me feel like I was stupid to miss all the obvious signs, but my physio was really help full and caring, and I go about ever 2 weeks. When I go he massages it, and gives me exercises to do while i’m at home, to try and straighten my back. It really has helped take some of the pain away, however you need realize that it wont be an instant cure, as back problems are long-tem, and can be really serious..
Hope this helps xx
