34 weeks pregnant with extreme back pain?

July 29th, 2010
tianroman asked:

I am 34 weeks pregnant today. At 30 weeks I was put on bedrest, because I was having several contractions 5 min apart, so they gave me magnesium treatments in the hospital and I have been on bedrest since. I am on 2 medications and thigns have been going fine, contractions off and on but not enough to make me dialate. I am already dialiated to 1 cm. Anyways, yesterday I had my doc appt and my sister drove me to it, like she usually does, afterwards, we picked up my 2 year old son who was at a babysitters and then she informed me that she had a job interview that I had to ride with her to. It was in a mall and it’s freezing outside and i had my son so i had to go in. She was in the interview for an hr and a half. So for that time I was walking around the mall, having to carry my son most of the time. Ever since then, I have had extreme back pain. I know what contractions feel like, but I have also hard of ppl having back labor, and I don’t really know what that would feel like. My back is killing me, esp on the right side, very low, it’s pretty much unbearable at times. Also, I feel what is like a lot of pressure, it’s hard to explain but it’s like the baby is pushing down hard.. like on my uterus maybe. And thirdly I have had ALOT of leakage today, obviously pregnancy brings different leakage, but this is like white and not what I’m used to. I don’t want to be a baby, but if walking for an hr and a half put me into labor, how would I know? Sorry this is so long.

I hit my midback and now I have pain – should I see a doc or are there treatments I can do at home?

July 19th, 2010
diosa78 asked:

I hit my back on a metal cage (I was bending down and when I went to stand up I smacked myself with a metal bar). I feel a bruised vertebra in my mid back and now I have pain radiating down my left thigh. I can’t lie on my back, touch my spine in that place or sit back in a chair without pain – not excrutiating but painful (ie it has produced tears from my eyes). I am taking Lortab and still have pain. Will going to a doctor help any? Any suggestions for at-home treatment?

Where are some medical marijuana centers in michigan?

July 18th, 2010
Jams asked:

I live near st. clair shores, michigan and am looking for a local medical marijuana center. I have bad back pain and I am seeking a treatment besides pain pills like vicodin which tend to upset my stomach. I already know there are centers out in southfield and grand rapids, but that’s a drive away. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Pain at back of knee?

July 11th, 2010
alib3636 asked:

I am 23 and female, I recently went on vacation to Las Vegas and walked up and down the whole strip with no pain. A couple days after I got back (yesterday) I walked on the treadmill for an hour. I was at no elevation at a speed of 3.6. After an hour my knee started to hurt. Today I took my dog on a 30 minute walk and at about 15, the pain got much worse. I turned around immediately to go home and hardly made it. The pain makes it hard to walk, there is no swelling, it is not red, it is mostly in the back…but there is no visible sign of a Baker’s Cyst. I had it propped for most of the day and it felt better. Then when I went for a short walk with my dog again, I could hardly make it 5 minutes. I don’t know if this sounds like a problem with my actual knee or something I did to a muscle? What treatment should I try? I have it propped right now with a heating pad under it

auto wreak — how do I ask for pain and suffering ?

July 7th, 2010
TR asked:

My wife and myself had an accident a couple of months ago and we are now finished with treatment. We both recieved whiplash , neck pain , and lower back pain. We both still have some days, where our necks feel tight and some lower back pain. Will the adjuster just give us money for pain and suffering or do we have to ask for it ? Do you still get paid for your medical bills if your health insurance has already paid the bills ?? If, you have had a meeting/phone call with an adjuster .. please let me know how easy/hard that was. I hear you get about 2 x 3 times what you medical bills were …. is that right.

Well thanks for reading and thanks for the answer.

I got a severe sunburn and now I’m uncontrollably itchy on my back, what’s wrong?

July 6th, 2010
Raine W asked:

It has happened before and I got blisters on my shoulders (most susceptible area and most in pain). It doesn’t hurt as much as it “feels like there are needles poking my upper back everywhere and it’s constantly itchy.” It comes in waves and rubbing my back makes it feel ok, temporally. It’s literally driving me mad.
(I’m pretty sure my nerves are the source of the problem)
What do you recommend for treatment/pain reliever?

Protrusion in C5-C6, Pain in Right Arm: Treatment advise?

July 6th, 2010
indrajeetsinh k asked:

Hi,

I am 26 year old software profession. I am suffering from neck pain and chronic pain in my right hand.

I did my MRI report. Report is given as below.

MRI REPORT dated 9-March-2009:

MRI of the cervical spine has been done by acquiring T1W sagittal, axial, FSE T2W sagittal, axial images.

There is a fairly large paracentral disc protrusion at C5-6 level which is extending into the right
neural foramen causing compression of existing right C6 nerve root. Thecal sac indentation is seen at
this level but no significant cervical cord compression .

A tiny hyperintensity is seen in the central part of the cord at C6-7-D1 level. This probably
represents central canal of the cord.

The cervico-medullary junction is normal.

Visualised part of brain stem and cerebellum look normal.

Impression:

Right paracentral disc protrusion of C5-6 disc causing compression of existing right C6 nerve root.

I am too much confused regarding treatment of the pain.

Now a days,
i take one capsule COBADEX in morning.
I go for traction once in day.
In mornings, due to more pain, i take heat treatment in neck and hand areas by heating bag.
I do some light exercise also suggested by physiotherapist.
I try to sit straight.
I do this all these since around 10-12 days.. but no significant reduction in my morning pain.. and some time whole day pain..
What should i do? Which kind of care should i take?

1. As per my age, 26 years, is this problem is fully curable? Will i be normal ever??

2. Should i take leave from my office and take rest for certain time?

3. I drive motorbike to go and back from office. Should i stop this?

4. Should i go for homeopethic treatment? Which is the best way to cure this problem?

Please give detailed advise that can help me to come out of the problem.

Thanks,
Indrajeet.
Thanks Nursed. You may be right as per your knowledge and what u have learn. You did your work correctly.
But This is very disappointing answer. Any how.. i want to come back to my normal life.
Can any one please suggest me the optimistic ways to come back to my normal life.
Reply pls..

July 6th, 2010
j w asked:

for the past few weeks i have been experiencinga grinding/popping in my left ankle that causes alot of pain. it happens when i bend my foot up or down, but only happens once in a blue moon. when it pops, the pain and popping lasts for a while, and it seems like i have to bend it back to get it to pop back into place for the pain to stop. sometimes it happens when i am not doing anything at all but sitting and moving my foot. i know it is not bone but maybe a tendon? the pain is on the outside of my ankle towards my heel. any ideas of what this is.. what to do about it.. and if i should see a doc? i do not have insurance so i only want to go to the doc if i have to. Thanks!
